Junior Attorney

A law firm seeks a motivated and driven Junior Attorney to join its legal team in Greenville, SC. This position is ideal for a recent law school graduate or an attorney with limited experience who is eager to learn and grow in various areas of law. The firm offers hands-on training and mentorship from experienced attorneys. Duties:

• Conduct legal research on a variety of issues, including family law, criminal law, immigration law, and personal injury matters.
• Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail.
• Assist with litigation processes by preparing case files, and supporting materials, and assisting during court appearances.
• Represent clients in court appearances as required.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients while ensuring that their best interests are protected.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex family law and immigration cases.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all client interactions and case developments.
• Continuously develop legal skills through training and mentorship provided by senior attorneys.

Requirements:

• South Carolina Bar license (required).
• Driver's license (required).
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong legal research skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage competing priorities.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the South Carolina Bar (required).

Skills:

• Legal research and writing.
• Court preparation and support.
• Negotiation and settlement skills.
• Ability to collaborate with senior attorneys and team members.
• Strong organizational skills to manage case files and documentation.
• Bilingual in Spanish (preferred but not required).

Schedule:
