PIP/SIU Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Purchase, NY, is seeking a diligent and experienced PIP/SIU Associate Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will handle a diverse caseload involving fraud/special investigations, including medical provider fraud, work comp fraud, first-party property claims, and no-fault litigation across all fifty states.

Job Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex insurance fraud cases and no-fault litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and responses.
• Manage discovery, including depositions, interrogatories, and document production.
• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as needed.
• Provide strategic counsel to clients on legal matters and case strategies.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar; additional admissions in other states a plus.
• 1-5 years of litigation experience focusing on insurance defense, PIP/SIU, or related fields.
• Strong analytical, writing, research, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with fraud investigations or special investigative units (SIU).
• Familiarity with insurance coverage issues and regulations.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and litigation support software.
