Job Overview:

• Provide legal representation to clients in insurance litigation matters.
• Draft and respond to pleadings and discovery.
• Handle court appearances and motion practice.
• Prepare client reports and communicate case updates.

Duties:

• Draft and respond to pleadings and discovery requests.
• Attend court appearances on behalf of clients.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents.
• Communicate with clients to provide case updates and legal advice.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and preparation.
• Attend depositions, prepare witnesses, and defend or take depositions as needed.
• Prepare for trial, including drafting trial briefs and exhibits.

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of insurance litigation experience.
• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Illinois State Bar.

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research databases and software.
• Experience with drafting pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda.
• Familiarity with court procedures and rules of evidence.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
