A respected Los Angeles-based law firm is seeking an experienced civil litigator to join its growing team as a Senior Attorney. This role is ideal for a seasoned legal professional with a passion for advocacy, strategic case management, and mentoring junior attorneys. The position offers the chance to focus on litigation in areas such as personal injury, public entity liability, and related civil matters. The role emphasizes strategic thinking, courtroom presence, and ongoing professional development, with robust operational support including legal technology tools and trial preparation resources.

Duties:

• Manage complex civil litigation cases from start to resolution

• Prepare and review pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and settlement documents

• Take and defend depositions, and attend mediations and court hearings

• Develop litigation strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys

• Participate in focus groups and trial preparation activities

• Mentor junior legal staff and foster professional growth

• Maintain clear and effective communication with clients

• Stay informed about changes in civil litigation laws and procedural rules

Requirements:

• Active California Bar license

• Minimum of 7 years of civil litigation experience

• Demonstrated ability to independently handle cases and lead litigation strategy

• Substantial experience in deposition and trial preparation

• Strong analytical, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills

• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Proven commitment to ethics and client service

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the California State Bar in good standing
