Attorney - Commercial and Industrial Lending Transactional Finance

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced C&I Finance Attorney in Uniondale, NY. The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in commercial and industrial transactions, asset-based lending, leasing, and commercial finance. This role involves working on complex deals and providing strategic counsel to a diverse client base.

Duties

• Prepare and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, and related real property agreements.
• Draft, review, and negotiate financing documents, including term loans and revolving credit facilities.
• Manage due diligence, including title, survey, and lease review for C&I loans.
• Advise clients on transaction structures and closing complex deals.
• Support leasing matters as needed.
• Manage and coordinate all aspects of C&I commercial finance closings.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree with excellent academic credentials.
• Admission to the New York Bar required; admission to the New Jersey and Florida Bars is a plus.
• 5-7 years of transactional and/or commercial finance experience, specifically including C&I lending.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate as a team player.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Familiarity with UCC Article 9 secured transactions strongly preferred.

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree
