Job Overview:

The General Liability Civil Defense Attorney will manage a diverse caseload involving premises and retail liability, amusement park liability, auto liability, rideshare liability, and commercial trucking cases for Fortune 500 clients. The successful candidate should possess at least 10 years of litigation experience, with a preference for individuals with past trial experience. Strong analytical, writing, research, and communication skills are essential for this role.

Duties:

• Manage and handle various complex civil defense cases, including premises and retail liability, amusement park liability, auto liability, rideshare liability, and commercial trucking cases.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to provide well-founded legal advice and strategies.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, negotiations, mediation, and settlement conferences.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external parties to gather and analyze relevant case information.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses.
• Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations relevant to civil defense litigation.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of litigation experience, preferably focusing on general liability civil defense.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Florida State Bar.
• Past trial experience is a plus.
• Proven track record of successfully managing and resolving civil defense cases.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Florida State Bar.
