Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze and interpret insurance policies to assess coverage issues.
• Provide legal counsel and advice to clients regarding insurance coverage disputes.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and draft detailed memoranda, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Assist in preparing and litigating insurance coverage cases in state and federal courts.
• Manage and oversee insurance-related claims and cases from inception to resolution.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners to develop case strategies and solutions.
• Attend and participate in client meetings, hearings, depositions, and settlement conferences.
• Maintain and foster strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Stay updated on changes in insurance law and industry trends to provide informed advice.
• Review and analyze documents related to insurance claims, including policies, contracts, and court rulings.
• Draft demand letters, negotiate settlements, and participate in mediation or arbitration as required.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in New York State and good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years of legal experience, with a focus on insurance coverage preferred.
• Demonstrated interest in insurance law; prior insurance coverage experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of legal principles, insurance regulations, and policy interpretation.
