Job Overview

A law firm seeks a motivated attorney with one year of commercial real estate transactions experience. The successful candidate will support complex acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing matters, collaborating with senior counsel to deliver seamless transactional services to a diverse client base. Location • Albany, NY

Duties

• Assist in drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, leases, mortgages, and related transaction documents
• Conduct title reviews, coordinate closings, and manage due diligence processes
• Collaborate with lenders, title companies, surveyors, and other transaction partners
• Research and analyze land use, zoning, and regulatory issues affecting property transactions
• Prepare corporate resolutions, partnership agreements, and ancillary closing deliverables
• Maintain transaction checklists, calendars, and client communications to ensure timely milestones
• Support senior attorneys in structuring and documenting debt and equity financing

Requirements

• One year of experience in commercial real estate transactions at a law firm or in-house
• Admission to the New York State Bar and in good standing
• Familiarity with commercial lease structures, purchase contracts, and financing documentation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
• Proven ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
• Effective written and oral communication skills

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in New York State
