Job Title: First-Party Coverage Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm located in Los Angeles, CA, is currently seeking a motivated and dynamic Associate Attorney with at least 2 years of experience in insurance coverage litigation, particularly in first-party coverage and bad faith claims. This position provides an exciting opportunity to work within a national and international practice, supporting a diverse range of clients in the insurance sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background and excellent legal research and writing abilities, along with practical case management experience in both state and federal courts.

Duties:

• Manage and litigate first-party insurance coverage disputes, including bad faith claims.
• Draft and review pleadings, discovery, and motions.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Represent clients in court appearances and trial proceedings.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and team members on complex litigation matters.
• Provide legal advice to clients, ensuring thorough legal research and risk assessment.
• Manage a caseload with a focus on high-quality legal work and client satisfaction.
• Engage in business development activities and contribute to the firm's growth.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience in insurance coverage litigation, including bad faith matters.
• Admission to practice law in California (additional admissions in other states is a plus).
• Experience handling cases in both state and federal courts.
• Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of insurance law, coverage disputes, and bad faith claims.
