Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented attorney with 2-6 years of litigation experience. This role provides the opportunity to work alongside seasoned trial lawyers on high-stakes matters across a range of litigation areas. The ideal candidate will gain hands-on experience in case strategy, discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation within a collaborative and mentorship-focused environment.

Duties:

• Manage a docket of complex civil litigation matters across multiple subject areas

• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, motions, and pleadings

• Participate in case strategy meetings and client consultations

• Prepare for and attend hearings, arbitrations, and mediations

• Take and defend depositions of experts, fact witnesses, and parties

• Engage in all phases of discovery, including document review and production

• Support trial teams with the preparation and execution of trial presentations

• Communicate with clients, insurers, and co-counsel on case updates and strategy

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in the State of California

• 2-6 years of civil litigation experience, preferably within defense-side practices

• Demonstrated familiarity with court procedures, pre-trial strategy, and motion practice

• Comfortably managing multiple cases with limited supervision

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the California Bar (mandatory)

• Admission to federal courts (preferred but not required)

Skills:

• Strong legal research and persuasive writing capabilities

• Confident oral advocacy and deposition-taking skills

• Strategic and analytical problem-solving ability

• Clear and professional communication with clients and colleagues
