Job Overview:
A reputable law firm in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking an experienced Real Estate Litigation Associate to join their growing team. This firm is known for handling a variety of complex litigation matters, including real estate disputes, title insurance, escrow liability, and business-related legal issues. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional client service and possess strong ethics, organizational skills, and courtroom experience. As part of a dynamic and fast-paced litigation team, the chosen associate will be involved in state court cases, from initial filings through trial and appeals.

Duties:

• Manage a diverse caseload focused on real estate, title insurance, escrow liability, bad faith, and complex business litigation
• Represent clients in state court, handling cases from pre-trial through to trial and appeals
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents with precision and clarity
• Conduct discovery, depositions, and trial preparation
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to strategize case approaches
• Maintain detailed case files and ensure deadlines are met
• Communicate regularly with clients, keeping them informed of case progress
• Provide legal advice and strategic counsel to clients

Requirements:

• 2-8 years of litigation experience, specifically in real estate, business, or complex litigation
• Strong courtroom and deposition experience
• Excellent legal writing skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and work independently
• Proven track record of success in litigation, with a focus on real estate or business disputes
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar
