Duties:
Handle a wide range of trusts and estates matters, including estate planning, administration, and litigation.
Draft and review wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.
Advise clients on estate planning strategies, tax implications, and probate matters.
Represent clients in probate and trust administration matters.
Assist in litigation involving contested estates, including will contests and fiduciary disputes.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and potential clients.
Lead and mentor junior associates in trusts and estates practice.
Collaborate with other practice areas and departments to support client needs.
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice law in New York.
5+ years of experience in trusts and estates law.
Strong ability to build rapport with clients and manage complex legal matters.
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage a demanding workload.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Leadership potential and experience mentoring junior attorneys.
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Active membership in the New York State Bar.
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of trusts and estates law, including estate planning and administration.
