Duties

• Prepare and prosecute biotechnology-related patent applications.
• Conduct examiner interviews and manage patent prosecution tasks.
• Arrange and conduct patentability, state-of-the-art, infringement, and validity searches.
• Prepare patentability opinions.

Requirements

• Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admission to at least one state bar.
• Registered to practice before the USPTO.
• One or more years of recent patent prosecution experience in biotechnology.

Education

• Advanced degree (Ph.D.) preferred in genetics, immunology, cell biology, proteomics, virology, bacteriology, or molecular biology.

Certifications

• Registered to practice before the USPTO.

Skills

• Strong academic credentials.
