Junior to Mid-level Global Commercial Disputes Associate

Profile

A law firm seeks an experienced, Delaware-licensed litigation associate to join its Wilmington office in the Global Commercial Disputes Practice. This position is ideal for a mid-level associate with 3-4 years of experience in commercial litigation, specifically in matters such as breach of contract, fraud, and breach of fiduciary duty. The firm is looking for a candidate with a strong academic background, and excellent writing, research, analytical, and verbal communication skills.

Duties:

• Handle complex commercial litigation cases, focusing on breach of contract, fraud, and breach of fiduciary duty matters.
• Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Represent clients in litigation proceedings, including hearings, depositions, and discovery.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members to develop effective case strategies.
• Communicate clearly with clients to provide updates and discuss case developments.
• Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with all legal standards and deadlines.

Requirements:

• Active membership in the Delaware Bar.
• 3-4 years of experience in complex commercial litigation.
• Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school.
• Excellent research, writing, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, fraud, and fiduciary duty claims.
• Prior clerkship experience is preferred but not required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Delaware Bar.
