A nationally prominent law firm is seeking a Toxic Tort Associate Attorney for its Seattle office. This role is ideal for a litigation attorney looking to handle high-stakes toxic tort matters involving asbestos, talc, silicosis, and other complex exposure claims. The position offers flexibility with remote or hybrid arrangements and provides the opportunity to work in a collaborative and experienced team handling sophisticated defense litigation matters.

Duties

• Manage a caseload of toxic tort litigation matters from inception through resolution

• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and other legal documents

• Conduct legal research and analysis

• Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations

• Collaborate with attorneys across departments and offices

• Prepare status reports and communicate regularly with clients

• Participate in strategic case development and resolution planning

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in toxic tort litigation

• Familiarity with matters involving asbestos, talc, silicosis, diacetyl, benzene, or similar exposures

• Experience drafting and responding to discovery and pretrial motions

• Deposition and court appearance experience preferred

• Trial preparation or second-chair trial experience a plus

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the state of Washington

• Member in good standing with the Washington State Bar
