Job Title: Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

A San Diego-based law firm is seeking an experienced litigation attorney to join a dynamic team handling complex, high-stakes disputes across a broad spectrum of industries. This role offers the opportunity to engage in high-profile cases involving consumer protection and product liability claims, supporting national and international clients in both individual and mass action matters. Candidates will work closely with legal professionals who bring in-house and national coordination experience to a wide array of litigation strategies.

Duties:

• Manage a diverse caseload of complex civil litigation matters

• Draft and argue motions, including discovery and dispositive motions

• Take and defend depositions of parties, experts, and witnesses

• Oversee large-scale document production and case-related discovery

• Work closely with clients, developing litigation strategy and providing timely updates

• Contribute to trial preparation and execution as needed

• Engage in strategic planning for coordinated nationwide litigation efforts

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of substantive litigation experience, ideally involving product liability or consumer protection matters

• Background in handling complex legal disputes within a mid-sized or larger law firm setting

• Strong capabilities in motion practice, depositions, and discovery

• Excellent written and verbal advocacy skills

• Demonstrated ability to manage matters independently and lead litigation tasks

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California

Skills:

• Exceptional legal research and persuasive writing abilities

• Confident in oral argument and courtroom presentation

• Meticulous attention to detail and case management

• Proficiency with litigation tools and case management software
