Senior Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm based in Las Vegas, NV, is actively seeking an experienced litigation attorney to join its real estate and financial services practice group. The ideal candidate will manage a substantial caseload involving residential property disputes, mortgage litigation, and transactional matters. This position requires a deep understanding of courtroom strategy, client advocacy, and multistate practice, especially in financial services contexts.

Duties:

• Manage high-volume caseload with hourly billing responsibility

• Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, trials, and hearings

• Prepare and file pleadings, briefs, motions, and discovery responses

• Take and defend depositions

• Conduct in-depth legal research and draft memoranda and opinion letters

• Collaborate closely with legal teams and support staff

• Travel occasionally for hearings, client meetings, or court proceedings

• Assist with special projects or assignments as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of litigation experience, with emphasis on real estate or financial matters

• Admitted to practice in Nevada and good standing

• Additional bar admission in Texas preferred

• Familiarity with state and federal rules of civil procedure and evidence

• Strong courtroom presence and persuasive advocacy skills

• Demonstrated ability to handle complex litigation independently

• Experience with foreclosure or mortgage-related litigation is a plus

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

• Bachelor’s degree required

Certifications:

• Active State Bar membership in Nevada (dual licensure in Texas advantageous)

Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• High proficiency with legal research platforms (e.g., Fastcase, Westlaw)

• Strong organizational and case management skills

• Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and adjust to shifting priorities

• Proactive problem-solving and decision-making abilities

• Team-oriented mindset with collaborative work ethic
