Job Title: Senior Personal Injury Attorney – Auto Accident Division
Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in Houston, TX, is seeking a results-driven and experienced Senior Personal Injury Attorney to support the firm’s expansion into key states, including Colorado, Indiana, Missouri, and Washington. The position focuses on high-volume auto accident cases and requires a proven track record of handling complex personal injury matters from inception to resolution. The role also entails managing and mentoring a team of legal professionals while ensuring effective case progression and client advocacy.
Duties:
Oversee a docket of personal injury cases, primarily auto accident claims, through all stages of litigation
Assess case viability and provide legal guidance to potential clients
Draft and revise pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and related legal documentation
Conduct legal research and gather relevant evidence, including medical records and insurance details
Coordinate with clients, medical professionals, expert witnesses, and other stakeholders
Negotiate settlements and agreements aligned with client interests
Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, depositions, and other formal legal settings
Maintain accurate updates in legal case management systems
Lead and supervise a team of paralegals and legal support staff
Requirements:
Minimum of 7-12 years of legal practice focused on personal injury, particularly auto accident litigation
Active license to practice law in Colorado (with preference for attorneys also eligible in Indiana, Missouri, or Washington)
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex legal matters simultaneously
Previous experience in high-volume case environments
Strong track record in client interaction and negotiation
Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a legal setting
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active and in good standing with at least one State Bar (Colorado Bar membership required)
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in legal research and drafting
Effective time management and prioritization under tight deadlines
Strong organizational habits with high attention to detail
Ability to mentor and manage support staff
Proficiency in case management software and Microsoft Excel
Job Location:
