Banking/Finance Attorney

Profile

A law firm is seeking a Banking/Finance Attorney with 3+ years of experience to provide legal assistance to financial institutions in commercial loan workouts, litigation, and documentation drafting. The ideal candidate should possess a strong academic background and be capable of working with minimal supervision.

Duties:

• Assist financial institutions through all aspects of commercial loan workouts, including litigation and drafting forbearance agreements, loan restructuring documents, and related documentation.
• Draft motions, discovery requests, and participate in the taking and defending of depositions.
• Work directly with lenders and other counsel with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in Banking/Finance law.
• Strong academic background with a J.D. from an ABA-Accredited Law School.
• Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Ability to promptly obtain admission in the State of Iowa.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-Accredited Law School.

Certifications:

Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

Skills:

• Proficient in commercial loan workouts, litigation, and documentation drafting.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with relevant banking and finance laws and regulations.
