Duties

• Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery.
• Attend hearings, court appearances, and depositions.
• Meet with clients to provide updates, gather information, and offer legal counsel.
• Propound and respond to written discovery.
• Review and summarize records and evidence.
• Assist in trial preparation and support the managing partner in litigation matters.
• Collaborate with other team members on case strategy and management.
• Provide updates to clients regarding case status and developments.

Requirements

• Active member of the State Bar of California (will consider candidates pending bar results).
• 1-5 years of experience in civil litigation and family law preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Essential Forms, and Timeslips.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Professional demeanor and ability to maintain client relationships.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the State Bar of California (or pending).

Skills
