Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly skilled and experienced Family Law Attorney to join their dynamic legal team in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The attorney will provide expert legal advice and representation to clients in various family law matters across multiple counties.

Duties

• Represent clients in family law matters and court proceedings, including SAPCRs and divorce proceedings.
• Prepare and draft pleadings for Family Court in Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, and Denton County Courts.
• Conduct legal research and stay informed on changes in family law.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on family law matters.
• Prepare for and attend Family Court proceedings and hearings.
• Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure timely and accurate case completion.
• Maintain accurate and detailed case records, including client communication and case progress.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Texas State Bar.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing family law, including SAPCRs and emergency filings.
• In-depth knowledge of Texas family law and procedures.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to handle a high volume of cases and work independently under strict deadlines.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred, but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Texas State Bar.
