A well-established law firm in Las Vegas is seeking a dedicated Immigration Attorney to join its EOIR practice group. This position focuses on representing clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals, including both detained and non-detained individuals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in removal defense and family-based immigration matters, and a genuine passion for client advocacy. Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and BIA
Explain immigration processes and develop strategic legal solutions for clients
Conduct intakes and represent detained individuals at detention centers
Prepare and submit applications for relief, including asylum, cancellation of removal, and waivers
Draft and file legal briefs and motions in support of immigration cases
Handle family-based petitions and other USCIS applications as needed
Meet with clients to prepare for testimony and court appearances
Collaborate with legal assistants and fellow attorneys to manage caseloads
Provide legal training and updates to law enforcement, prosecutors, and community partners
Conduct strategic consultations for prospective clients and assess potential case benefits
1–5 years of experience in immigration law, specifically EOIR and removal defense
Prior experience with detained cases, family-based petitions, and humanitarian applications
Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload independently
Willingness to travel to detention centers for client meetings
Strong interest in immigration policy and advocacy
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school
Active membership in a U.S. state bar (Nevada preferred or eligibility for prompt admission)
Excellent oral advocacy and legal writing skills
Strong interpersonal and client-facing communication abilities
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
Familiarity with immigration case management software (preferred)
