Represent both detained and non-detained individuals before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals
Prepare and submit immigration applications, including those for removal defense and family-based relief
Draft legal briefs, motions, and supporting documents for complex immigration cases
Conduct intakes and provide consultations to potential clients to determine legal strategy
Visit detention centers to interview and assess new clients
Prepare clients and witnesses for hearings and USCIS interviews
Analyze immigration benefits and relief eligibility based on case facts and client goals
Stay current on changes in immigration law and present to community stakeholders as needed
Collaborate with legal assistants and fellow attorneys to ensure efficient case management
3–5 years of experience practicing immigration law
Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload and advance cases efficiently
Experience handling EOIR proceedings, family-based petitions, humanitarian relief, and naturalization cases
Willingness to engage in detained client representation and community outreach
Comfort working in a high-volume, client-centered practice
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school
Active membership in a U.S. state bar (Nevada preferred or eligibility for prompt admission)
Excellent legal research, writing, and courtroom advocacy skills
High-level interpersonal and communication abilities
Strong organizational and time-management capabilities
Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred, but not required)
Familiarity with immigration case management software (preferred)
