Job Overview:

A law firm is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Social Security Attorney to join its team. This full-time position requires at least 1 year of experience with Social Security and Social Security Disability filings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate patience, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to represent clients in Social Security-related legal matters.

Duties:

• Assist with Social Security and Social Security Disability filings, including requesting medical records and submitting briefs.
• Represent clients at hearings, if necessary.
• Provide legal support and advice to clients in matters related to Social Security.
• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and guide them through the filing process.
• Maintain thorough case files and ensure compliance with legal standards.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience in Social Security and Social Security Disability legal work.
• Social Security Representative status is acceptable for candidates already licensed to represent clients before the Social Security Administration.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Compassion and patience when working with clients.
• Experience requesting medical records and submitting legal briefs.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active bar license (if applicable).
• Social Security Representative status (preferred, but not required).

Skills:

• Ability to work with individuals with disabilities and provide empathetic legal assistance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Legal drafting and research skills.
• Ability to represent clients in hearings and other legal proceedings.
