A law firm seeks a Technical Specialist in Washington, D.C. to join their Electronics Group. This role offers a hybrid work environment with regular in-office days and relocation reimbursement. Duties

• Conduct research on developing and emerging technologies.
• Prepare written and oral reports for attorneys and patent agents.
• Assist in preparing patent applications and Patent Office filings.
• Interact with inventors to obtain disclosures.
• Maintain and organize prosecution files.
• Assist with foreign patent applications by preparing letters of instruction.
• Monitor docket of work due dates.

Requirements

• Master's in electrical engineering and/or computer engineering.
• Expertise in 5G/LTE/wireless communications, RF circuit design, IoT, Bluetooth, or semiconductors.
• Interest in applying scientific and research experience to IP and patent law.

Education

• Master's degree in electrical or computer engineering.

Certifications

• Patent Bar exam within 1-2 years of employment.

Skills
