Job Overview:
A respected law firm based in Fresno, CA, is seeking a dedicated Associate Immigration Attorney to join its legal team through a recruitment partnership. Duties:

• Provide legal consultations and explain immigration processes to clients

• Develop strategic legal approaches tailored to individual immigration cases

• Represent detained and non-detained clients in immigration court and appeals boards

• Conduct in-person intake interviews at detention facilities

• Draft, review, and file a range of immigration petitions, applications, and briefs

• Coordinate with law enforcement, legal partners, and advocacy organizations

• Prepare clients and witnesses for hearings before courts and USCIS

• Assess case merits and prepare supporting legal documents

• Maintain and manage an independent caseload effectively

• Participate in community outreach and education regarding immigration law updates

Requirements:

• 1 to 4 years of hands-on experience practicing immigration law

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple active cases

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented legal setting

• Willingness to travel to detention centers for client interviews

• Familiarity with EOIR, USCIS, family-based, and humanitarian petitions

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

• Admission to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction (California bar preferred)

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the United States

Skills:

• Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish) preferred

• Proficiency in legal research and immigration case management software

• Strong analytical and drafting skills

• Ability to provide compassionate and effective client service

• Strategic problem-solving in high-pressure legal scenarios
