A law firm seeks a motivated and experienced Litigation Attorney to join its growing Raleigh office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with a passion for civil litigation who thrives in a collaborative environment. The successful candidate will work alongside senior partners, gain hands-on trial experience, and receive mentorship to help develop into a first-chair litigator. Duties:

• Handle complex civil litigation matters, including but not limited to medical malpractice, professional liability, construction litigation, and commercial transportation liability.
• Take an active role in trial preparation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery.
• Manage and take depositions, and represent clients in state and federal court proceedings.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to drive case progression.
• Collaborate with senior partners on case strategy, providing case updates and insights.
• Develop legal strategies, provide counsel, and report findings to senior partners regularly.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in complex litigation.
• Proven ability to handle trial preparation, depositions, and legal research.
• Experience representing clients in both state and federal courts.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to research and assess information independently.
• Ability to think strategically and communicate case developments to senior partners.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina.

Skills:

• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent trial preparation and case management abilities.
• Confidence in taking depositions and appearing in court.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
