Job Overview: A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to join its Toledo office within the General Litigation practice group. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated individual to work with a team of respected and skilled trial attorneys, handling complex civil litigation cases in both state and federal courts.

Location:

• Toledo, OH

Duties:

• Manage and oversee civil litigation cases from start to finish in state and federal courts

• Conduct discovery, take and defend depositions, and handle all aspects of motion practice

• Interact with expert witnesses and assist in case strategy development

• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure effective case management

• Perform legal research and prepare high-quality legal documents and briefs

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6-8 years of civil litigation experience

• Extensive experience in state and federal court litigation

• Proven ability to manage discovery, depositions, motion practice, and expert witness interaction

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

• Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active bar membership in Ohio; Michigan licensure is strongly preferred

Skills:

• Excellent legal research and writing skills

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines

• Proficient in case management and legal software tools
