Senior Discovery Attorney

Profile

A law firm seeks a highly experienced Senior Discovery Attorney to lead and oversee eDiscovery processes, ensuring compliance with legal standards and optimizing case outcomes through effective management of workflows and protocols.

Duties:

• Collaborate with eMerge attorneys, technologists, case teams, and clients to develop and manage case-specific eDiscovery workflows and protocols.
• Oversee and ensure the quality of work and deliverables of eMerge Discovery Attorneys, Project Attorneys, technologists, and service providers.
• Advise and support case teams and clients on all discovery phases from preservation through production, including pre-litigation information governance and trial preparation.
• Maintain awareness of emerging eDiscovery technologies, practices, and legal standards to inform strategic decisions.
• Ensure compliance with eDiscovery laws, regulations, and industry best practices.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and licensed to practice law in good standing in the state of New York.
• 5-7 years of experience in eDiscovery within a law firm or corporate legal department.
• In-depth knowledge of eDiscovery laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Experience with preservation, filtering, and export capabilities of corporate messaging and productivity solutions (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace).
• Proficiency with eDiscovery software, particularly Relativity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex legal and technical concepts effectively.
