A nationally recognized law firm is actively seeking a Lateral Partner Attorney with a focus in Workers' Compensation defense to join its team in Virginia. Location:

• Richmond, VA

Duties:

• Manage and litigate a caseload of workers' compensation matters

• Develop and execute legal strategies, budgets, and recommendations for new cases

• Attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and other proceedings

• Draft and review discovery documents, pleadings, and case reports

• Negotiate settlements and prepare for trial when necessary

• Supervise and collaborate with legal assistants and paralegals

• Maintain proactive communication with clients and internal teams

• Contribute to client development and marketing efforts

Requirements:

• 5–7 years of experience in workers' compensation defense

• Established portable book of business preferred

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal setting

• Familiarity with case management software and Microsoft Office

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Virginia and the District of Columbia (required)

• Maryland Bar admission preferred

Skills:
