Duties
Evaluate and assess personal injury cases through legal research and client interviews
Review intake documents, medical records, treatment history, liens, and other relevant case materials
Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients throughout the pre-suit process
Negotiate and settle personal injury claims with insurance carriers for maximum value
Draft legal documents including demand letters and case summaries
Communicate regularly with clients, medical providers, and internal staff
Supervise legal support staff and maintain strong team coordination
Coordinate claims reviews, legal research, and client benefits
Handle medical bill negotiations and resolve related liens
Represent clients in hearings, depositions, mediations, and other proceedings when necessary
Monitor developments in relevant legal areas and adjust case strategies accordingly
Participate in networking or business development as opportunities arise
Submit regular progress and status reports to firm management
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury law
Proven success managing high-volume caseloads in a fast-paced environment
Ability to guide clients through complex legal and medical issues
Skilled in negotiation and client advocacy
No history of malpractice or disciplinary actions
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications
Active license in good standing with the Florida Bar (Required)
