Form 5500 Benefits Senior Associate

The candidate will provide timely and distinctive client service for assigned book of retirement and/or health and welfare plans. Work closely with clients and project teams in an integrated approach to client service. Gathering data from clients and/or vendors necessary for the completion of such forms. Review Form 5500, Form 8955-SSA and Form 5330. Monitoring in-house and external deadlines to ensure compliance. Coordinating workflows with other team members. Collaborating with other team members. Proactively following up with clients for data. Research and consult with clients and internal audit teams on various Form 5500 reporting issues. Perform other duties as assigned by the partners, managing directors, senior managers, directors and/or managers. Minimum Bachelors Degree from a four-year college or university. Advanced degree or professional designation preferred but not required, e.g., J.D., C.P.A. or CEBS designation. At least three years of Form 5500 experience. Basic understanding of Microsoft Office software, namely Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively prioritize work assignments based on internal/external deadlines and client demands. Able to work independently while also contributing to team environment. Ability to supervise staff and lead engagements. FT William or Relius software experience is preferred.
