A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity & Data Breach Response Attorney to join its growing data privacy and cyber incident response team. This fully remote position is ideal for an experienced attorney with deep knowledge of U.S. and international data protection laws who is ready to take on a leadership role in managing data breach response efforts and regulatory matters for clients across a variety of industries.

Lead legal response to cybersecurity and data privacy incidents
Manage client and carrier communications during breach response efforts
Advise clients from incident intake through resolution, including forensic oversight
Analyze and apply state, federal, and international privacy laws (HIPAA, GLBA, CCPA, GDPR, etc.)
Draft legal notices to individuals and regulators following data breaches
Respond to regulatory investigations and enforcement actions
Oversee third-party vendors involved in e-Discovery, data mining, and notification
Draft and update client-facing privacy and security policies and procedures
Coordinate crisis communication strategies and draft relevant materials
Prepare legal reports and incident summaries for insurance carriers and clients
Draft breach notification letters and regulatory response documentation
Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and team members
Develop and manage litigation budgets and project scopes
Minimum of 7 years of experience in data privacy and cybersecurity law, with a focus on incident response
Strong working knowledge of data privacy frameworks and breach laws (e.g., HIPAA, GLBA, FERPA, CCPA, GDPR)
Demonstrated ability to lead breach response teams and handle regulatory investigations
Litigation experience and IT/technical background considered a plus
Excellent judgment in high-pressure situations
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active bar admission in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
Advanced legal research and writing skills
Excellent communication and client-relations abilities
High attention to detail and organizational capabilities
Familiarity with Lexis, Westlaw, and cybersecurity-related legal tools
Ability to lead, supervise, and collaborate in a virtual, fast-paced environment
