This position plays a vital role in managing property damage litigation matters across all stages, from client intake to resolution. Duties:

• Represent policyholders in disputes involving first-party property insurance claims

• Handle a full caseload involving all phases of litigation, including pre-suit strategy, discovery, depositions, mediations, and trials

• Draft, review, and edit legal documents including pleadings, motions, and correspondence

• Conduct legal research and formulate strategic litigation approaches

• Participate in court appearances, hearings, and settlement negotiations

• Maintain regular client communication and manage expectations throughout the litigation lifecycle

• Collaborate with legal support staff and other attorneys to ensure efficient case management

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience handling first-party insurance litigation or related practice areas

• Licensed and in good standing with the California Bar

• Resides in or near Southern California

• Demonstrated ability to manage a litigation docket independently

• Strong oral advocacy and written communication skills

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment

• Familiarity with legal research tools and document management systems

• Willingness to travel within the state as needed for court proceedings

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active licensure with the State Bar of California
