Duties

• Represent clients in complex construction defect litigation cases.
• Provide legal counsel and strategic advice related to construction disputes, defect claims, and related issues.
• Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
• Conduct depositions, attend hearings, and manage court appearances.
• Work closely with clients and internal teams to deliver effective case strategies and solutions.
• Mentor junior attorneys and support staff, fostering a positive team culture.
• Participate in business development efforts, strengthening the firm’s presence in the construction law space.
• Contribute to firm-wide initiatives that promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in construction defect litigation.
• Strong understanding of California construction law and litigation procedures.
• Proven record of job stability and excellent professional references.
• An active member of the California State Bar in good standing.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex cases independently.
• Ability to collaborate with a team while mentoring junior attorneys.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and writing skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
