A law firm seeks a Senior General Liability Attorney in Atlanta, Georgia. This role offers an opportunity for attorneys with over 8 years of litigation experience to engage with prominent national clients and manage substantial litigation responsibilities. The position involves direct interaction with sophisticated clients and collaboration with experienced professionals.

Duties

• Independently manage a complex defense litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
• Develop and implement case strategy, including early case assessment and trial preparation.
• Draft and argue substantive motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda in state and federal courts.
• Take and defend depositions, manage written discovery, and work with expert witnesses.
• Represent clients at court hearings, mediations, and other dispute resolution proceedings.
• Provide strategic legal advice and regular case status updates to clients.
• Collaborate with partners and colleagues on complex litigation matters.
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and legal support staff.
• Participate in trial preparation, including witness preparation and trial strategy development.
• Maintain strong client relationships while delivering high-quality legal work.

Requirements

• JD from an ABA accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in the state of Georgia.
• 8+ years of defense litigation experience.
• Experience with general liability, premises, products, transportation, employment, or insurance preferred.
• Superior analytical skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Sophisticated technical skills necessary.
• First chair trial experience a plus.

Education

• JD from an ABA accredited law school.
