Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Mid/Senior Associate to join its Labor and Employment Department in Los Angeles, California. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in handling complex employment-related matters and will work collaboratively with a team of dedicated professionals to provide exceptional legal services to a diverse client base.

Duties

• Defend wage and hour class actions and PAGA actions, including discovery and class certification issues.
• Handle single-plaintiff employment cases, including depositions and drafting dispositive motions.
• Represent clients in administrative hearings and proceedings, including EEOC/CRD charges.
• Advise clients on compliance with federal, state, and international labor laws.

Requirements

• 6+ years of relevant California labor and employment experience in a top law firm.
• Experience with FLSA collective actions is a plus.
• Strong academic background with excellent research, analysis, and writing skills.
• California Bar membership is required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the California State Bar.
