A law firm seeks a motivated Associate Attorney to join its Workers' Compensation team in New York, NY. The successful candidate will represent insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insured employers before the New York Workers' Compensation Board, managing their own caseload and developing litigation strategies.

Duties

• Attend hearings before the NY Workers' Compensation Board.
• Conduct depositions of IME and treating physicians.
• Draft appeals, rebuttals, and summations.
• Develop negotiation strategies and settle claims.
• Communicate case updates to clients and adjusters.
• Prepare witnesses and strategize for favorable outcomes.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar.
• Experience in NY workers' compensation law.
• 3+ years' experience in a law firm setting.
• Ability to manage cases from start to finish.
• Strong writing, communication, and analytical skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
