Job Overview:
A leading international law firm is seeking a mid-level Associate Attorney to join its Banking & Finance group in New York. This opportunity is best suited for attorneys with prior experience representing sponsors in complex financial transactions, who bring a collaborative spirit and a keen interest in the finance sector.

Location:

• New York, NY

Duties:

• Advise clients on sponsor-side finance transactions, including acquisition financing and leveraged lending

• Draft, review, and negotiate financing agreements and related documentation

• Coordinate with internal teams and external counsel to manage complex deal timelines

• Provide strategic legal counsel throughout the lifecycle of banking and finance matters

• Support cross-border transactions in collaboration with global offices

• Conduct legal research and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Requirements:

• 4–6 years of experience in banking and finance law, with sponsor-side representation preferred

• Prior experience at a peer law firm handling complex financial transactions

• Demonstrated interest in banking, finance, and related transactional work

• Ability to manage multiple client matters in a fast-paced environment

• Strong interpersonal skills and team-oriented mindset

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

• High academic achievement required

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York Bar or eligibility to waive in
