Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate to join its Las Vegas, NV office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of general civil litigation experience and a strong background in insurance defense.

Duties

• Manage cases from inception through trial, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Conduct legal research, analysis, and writing.
• Prepare for and conduct depositions.
• Manage discovery processes.
• Defend commercial disputes, consumer protection claims, and professional liability claims.

Requirements

• JD with excellent academic credentials.
• Minimum of three years of general civil litigation experience.
• Experience with Federal Court is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and e-discovery platforms.
• Excellent writing, research, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Current NV Bar admission in good standing is required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the Nevada Bar.
