Job Overview

A law firm seeks an associate with 3 to 5 years of strong coverage litigation experience for a fully remote position. The candidate must be located and admitted to practice in Nevada, Utah, Idaho, or Montana.

Duties

• Draft pleadings and briefs.
• Prepare and respond to written discovery.
• Prepare correspondence to colleagues and clients.
• Analyze insurance policies, draft coverage opinions, and provide recommendations for clients.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw/Lexis/Nexis.
• Review documents in preparation for litigation.
• Attend and conduct depositions, hearings, and mediations as required.
• Submit filings to the court.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice in Nevada, Utah, Idaho, or Montana; multiple admissions are a plus.
• 3+ years of insurance coverage experience.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to handle matters of a highly sensitive nature.
• Ability to handle time-sensitive matters.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Capable of working within a team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission in Nevada, Utah, Idaho, or Montana.
