Duties

• Appear in court a minimum of three days per week.
• Review new claims for compliance.
• Review and sign off on pleadings for court filing.
• Draft various motions and responses to contested matters.
• Argue contested motions and conduct trials and arbitrations.
• Manage telephonic and written contact with opposing counsel.
• Prepare and respond to discovery or oversee counterclaims.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate and admittance to Illinois Bar; additional licenses in other states preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Experience with Collection Master or equivalent case file management system preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well with diverse staff, judges, and opposing counsel.
• Ability to work independently and make responsible decisions.
• Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping skills.

• Juris Doctorate

• Admittance to Illinois Bar
