A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of family law experience and will engage in all phases of litigation.

Duties

• Conduct legal research and prepare for trials and evidentiary hearings.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Draft and respond to discovery and motions.
• Maintain significant client contact and manage case files independently.

Requirements

• Member of the DC Bar and either Virginia State Bar or Maryland State Bar.
• 1 to 3 years of family law experience.
• Strong drafting and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Valid Bar license in DC and either Virginia or Maryland.

• Proficient in legal research and writing.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently.
