Director Patent Attorney - Therapeutic Molecules

The candidate will be identifying and assembling new inventions relating to monoclonal antibodies, nucleic acid-based medicines, and other therapeutic molecules and formats. Preparing and prosecuting global patent applications relating to all aspects of therapeutic molecules, including pharmaceutical compositions, formulations, methods of treatment, administration regimens, biomarkers and diagnostics. Pursuing patent term extensions and supplementary protection certificates. Managing outside counsel on various projects as appropriate. Collaborating with and advising regulatory, clinical, and commercial colleagues to establish and implement long-term exclusivity and life cycle management strategies for Regeneron assets. Conducting patent landscape overviews, freedom-to-operate analyses, validity assessments and patentability assessments in relation to Regeneron pipeline products. Managing the US and foreign administrative patent actions (e.g., oppositions, third-party observations, inter partes reviews, etc.). Assisting in litigation activities as needed. Supporting due diligence projects, agreements and transactional initiatives, and policy questions.
