Job Overview:

Duties:

• Represent institutional and commercial clients, as well as closely held family businesses, in bankruptcy proceedings.
• Handle cases involving business and consumer bankruptcy filings.
• Engage in bankruptcy litigation, including preparation for hearings and trials.
• Collaborate with senior partners, including a bankruptcy trustee, to manage and expand an existing practice.
• Contribute to business development by building a personal client base.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
• Provide strategic advice and representation to clients in complex bankruptcy matters.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in business and consumer bankruptcy law.
• Proven experience in bankruptcy litigation.
• Strong understanding of bankruptcy laws, procedures, and best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently and as part of a team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Massachusetts.
