The ideal candidate will possess 5-10 years of experience in handling a broad range of commercial litigation and transactional matters. This role requires initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to manage matters independently from inception through resolution. The attorney will collaborate with colleagues and interact directly with clients and industry professionals.

Duties

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and agreements.
• Handle commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes and business torts.
• Advise clients on commercial transactions and dispute avoidance strategies.
• Manage matters involving breach of contract and enforcement issues.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on commercial law issues.
• Manage deadlines and procedural requirements across jurisdictions.
• Maintain strong client relationships through strategic guidance.
• Record and maintain billable hours accurately.

Requirements

• Admission to practice in the State of New York (Connecticut, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania admissions are a plus).
• 5-10 years of experience in commercial law.
• Experience with commercial contract drafting and review.
• Proven experience in handling commercial disputes and litigation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
