Job Overview

A Louisville, KY-based law firm is seeking a dedicated Litigation Associate Attorney with 2–8 years of legal experience to join its team. The ideal candidate will focus on medical negligence defense, property and casualty defense, and long-term care defense. This role offers an opportunity to work on complex cases and develop professionally within a collaborative and dynamic legal environment.

Duties

• Represent clients in litigation, including medical negligence, property and casualty, and long-term care defense.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and participate in hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop effective case strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and ethical standards.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients regarding case status and updates.

Requirements

• 2-8 years of experience in litigation, particularly in medical negligence or property-related cases.
• Admission to practice law in Kentucky, with good standing in the Kentucky Bar Association.
• Dual admission to practice law in both Kentucky and Indiana is strongly preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Kentucky Bar License (required).
• Indiana Bar License (preferred but not mandatory).
