A law firm seeks a Junior Commercial Litigation Associate in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have over three years of litigation experience, particularly in commercial litigation, foreclosure actions, and electronic discovery. This role involves managing all phases of litigation, from inception to resolution, including complex motion practice and trial preparation.

Duties

• Manage a diverse caseload of commercial litigation and foreclosure matters in state and federal courts.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery-related documents with precision and clarity.
• Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Handle all aspects of electronic discovery, including collection, review, and production of ESI.
• Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, and pretrial strategy sessions.
• Provide legal counsel and strategic guidance to clients across industries.
• Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas in a team-oriented environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of litigation experience.
• Hands-on experience with electronic discovery tools and processes.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational abilities, and time management.
• Proven ability to manage multiple matters and work independently.
• Admission to the New York Bar is required; New Jersey Bar admission is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
