Draft and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications for high-tech clients
Conduct analysis and strategic advice for patent portfolios and IP positioning
Engage in post-grant proceedings and standards-essential patent work
Collaborate with internal teams and clients on matters involving telecommunications, software, and emerging devices
Provide tailored advice related to invention disclosure, IP lifecycle, and innovation strategy
Interpret technical specifications to ensure thorough, defensible patent claims
Support broader IP litigation or licensing efforts as needed
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in patent preparation and prosecution
Prior exposure to technologies such as wireless systems, communication standards, electrical engineering applications, semiconductors, cloud infrastructure, or wearable tech
Admission to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both legal and non-legal audiences
Strong time management skills and ability to contribute to a collaborative legal team
Bachelors or advanced degree in one of the following:
Electrical Engineering
Computer Engineering
Computer Science
Physics
Mechanical Engineering
A closely related technical discipline
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school
Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
Registration with the USPTO required
Proficiency in drafting complex patent applications
Solid understanding of IP law and technology intersections
Analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail
Ability to work across cross-disciplinary teams and communicate technical subject matter effectively
