A law firm seeks a senior finance attorney in New York to support its corporate finance and debt restructuring practices. The role involves representing lenders and corporate borrowers in various financing arrangements and leading private equity-backed financings across industries.

Duties

• Represent lenders and corporate borrowers in acquisition and leveraged buyout financings.
• Lead private equity-backed financings across various industries.
• Structure, negotiate, and document secured and unsecured lending facilities.
• Draft credit agreements, commitment papers, and related documents.
• Handle bilateral and syndicated credit facilities, including intercreditor agreements.
• Document and close mezzanine debt transactions and preferred equity investments.
• Collaborate with various practice groups on finance-related matters.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for active finance matters.

Requirements

• 8 - 15 years of leveraged finance/transactional workout experience at a nationally recognized law firm.
• Experience with cross-border transactions.
• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Bar admission in NY.
• Strong drafting and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team setting.
• Ability to manage complex transactions and tight timeframes.

Education

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
